Carbone received her BA from Hunter College in NYC where she studied with Stuart Ewen, Nari Ward, Gabrielle Evertz, and others. She studied experimental art practice in Italy and South Africa, and went on to complete an MFA at the California College of the Arts under the guidance of Allison Smith and Ted Purves. She continually investigates the questions: Where do we engage with images in our everyday lives? What is our relationship with the image? What power does the image hold and what language does it speak? Her artwork can be viewed at www.georgiacarbone.com
